Website Growing Instructions:

1. Start by selecting the type of sunflower seed you would like to grow. Choose from open-pollinated, hybrid, organic, and untreated varieties.

2. Once you have selected your seed, prepare your soil for planting. Sunflowers prefer well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. If your soil is not ideal, you can amend it with organic matter such as compost or manure.

3. Plant your sunflower seeds in rows, spaced approximately 6 inches apart. Plant the seeds 1/2 inch deep and water them thoroughly.

4. Place your sunflower plants in a sunny spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

5. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Water the plants every few days or when the top inch of soil is dry.

6. As the plants grow, you may need to stake them to keep them upright.

7. Harvest the sunflower heads when the back of the flower is dry and the petals have started to turn brown. Cut the heads off the stems and hang them upside down to dry.

8. Once the heads are completely dry, remove the seeds from the heads and store them in a cool, dry place.
