Easy Bread Loaf Recipe

This Recipe makes THE best sandwich bread! It’s soft yet firm, spongey and flavorful. This bread toasts up nicely and makes killer Grilled Cheese Sandwiches! I filmed a video on how I make this Bread Recipe and posted it on Youtube if you’d like to watch it!

Easy Bread Loaf

Ingredients
  • 3/4 warm water
  • 1 1/2 TBSP sugar
  • 4 1/2 TSP Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 2/3 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 TBSP room Temp Butter
  • 1 TBSP salt
  • 9-10 cups of Flour (Bread or All-Purpose)
Directions
  1. In a small bowl or measuring cup, add in 3/4 cup of warm (100-110F) water, 1 Tbsp. Sugar and 4 1/2 Tsp Yeast. Set aside to rise for 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together Yeast mixture, 2 2/3 cup of warm water, 1/4 cup of sugar and 3 Tbsp. room temp Butter. Mix together using a whisk or dough whisk.
  3. Add 5 cups of flour and mix together. Add 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt, mix together.
  4. (you can continue by hand or move to the Kitchen Aid mixer fit with a dough hook. Add in the flour 1 cup at a time until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and kneed by hand for about 7 minutes. Transfer dough to a large oiled bowl. Cover with moist towel or plastic wrap and set aside to rise for 1 hr.
  6. After the dough has risen, turn onto a floured surface and kneed slightly to release all the air. Divide the dough in half and Roll each dough ball out into a 9″x16″ rectangle. Roll the dough like cinnamon rolls and tuck the ends under the loaf. Transfer loafs into 16″ bread pans. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  7. After 30 minutes, using a Bread Lame or blade of some kind and slice into the top of the risen dough. Brush with melted butter and bake in a 400 Degree F Oven for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Bread is done when internal temperature reach 195 F. Store in plastic wrap, a ziplock bag, or linen for 5-7 days. Loaf freezes well. Thaw at room temperature.
