Our goal is to bring the homesteading lifestyle to suburban areas, where families can grow their own food, raise animals, and live a self-sufficient and more fulfilling life. Here at Hollow Acres, we focus on and offer a variety of educational resources on homesteading activities such as Organic Gardening, cooking from scratch, preserving food, making household goods, studying and practicing Herbalism, woodworking and homemaking. Sunflowers are one of my favorite things to grow. Some are short, some are tall, all Sunflowers are beautiful! Fun Fact: Sunflowers are scientifically proven to pull radiation and contaminates out of contaminated soil. Isn’t that just the coolest thing? With thousands of varieties to choose from, you too can grow a field of Sunflowers, if you have the space that is!
